That IS horrible service. Although not flying on AC, I was shafted on my recent US customs experience here at the Vancouver Airport...nasty!

No surprise hearing how poor Air Canada is with their service, and to be the biggest airline in Canada is deplorable.

Funny enough...As I write this, I'm hearing on the news that Air Canada is experiencing some type of computer glitch that is grounding flights across the globe. There are frustrated Air Canada commuters (what else is new) who are waiting hours for their flight to leave. The tellers are processing their tickets manually.

I for one want no part of this embarrassingly unprofessional airline. My hard earned dollars will be spent elsewhere. For the most part, flying to another destination is supposed to be stress free, not riddled with it.

Hope you forwarded your blog to Air Canada. I have had similar complaints, but my nephew who lives in Geneva had a pricelss experience with them.

He wanted to come and visit us in Victoria, B.C. and as Air Canada had an advertised seat sale on he decided to go with them. He wanted to do all booking over the phone and when he called, they told him ....jup you guessed it....no flight sale. So he proceeded to let them know that he had received an email the day before informing him of the sale....from Geneva to Toronto. The Air Canada agent said it did not exist and on and on....and the agent told him he was imagining things. Needless to say he will never fly Air Canada again. As well, our experience was similar to yours and has soured us forever from flying with Air Canada. I would sooner make my trip longer that give them the time of day.
cheers and good flying (with whoever)
