Masai Barefoot Technology (MBT)

Masai Barefoot TechnologyMy preferred method of getting around is to walk. It’s healthy and I get to see much more than if we were driving.

However, as the years have slipped by, the ole dogs ain’t what they used to be. My feet and legs were tiring out too often. I’d heard that MBT or Masai Barefoot Technology are shoes that exercise and revitalize your legs as you walk, so I had to check them out….

They look a bit weird as the sole is a rocker design. MBT’s claim is that when wearing the shoes it’s like walking barefoot on a beach.

I bought the sandals since where we live it is often a hundred degrees in the summer and sandals are the footwear of choice. When I put them on, the saleslady told me to rock on the soles to get used to the feeling. The shoes cause the pelvis to tilt therefore improving posture.

I was hooked, bought a pair and decided to wear my purchase all that afternoon as we walked around Kelowna, B.C. Well, by the end of the day I knew I LOVED these shoes. I had a spring in my step and my legs were energized.

Granted, they look a bit different but that’s OK too. People have stopped to ask me about them.

To try a pair visit Zappos.com and search for “MBT” or cut and paste “Masai Barefoot Technology” into their search box.
